Peter Sullivan
Sullivan Investigations, established in 1999, is owned by Peter Sullivan, a registered Private Investigator through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice. A retired police sergeant, Sullivan served 23 years with the Roanoke City Police Department in southwest Virginia. His tenure with the department includes four years as a Vice/Narcotics Investigator and eight years in the Criminal Investigative Unit working in the Larceny, White Collar Crime and Robbery/Homicide divisions.
While on the police department, he was trained as an Evidence Technician in
identifying, collecting, and preserving evidence. He also received training from
the Federal Bureau of Investigations in fingerprint identification and
classification, training from the Drug Enforcement Administration in narcotics
investigations and instruction from the United States Secret Service as a
Question Document Examiner.
Sullivan has conducted numerous investigations involving capital murder cases on
both the state and federal level for criminal defense attorneys throughout the
state of Virginia. He has worked extensively on a wide range of criminal
investigation, as well as conducting witness statements, domestic and child
custody investigations, and insurance surveillance.
Peter Sullivan is a member of the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI),
Private Investigators Association of Virginia (PIAVA) and holds degrees in
Criminal Justice and Business Administration.
Waverley Dixon
Waverley Dixon is a registered Private Investigator through the Virginia
Department of Criminal Justice and has worked for Sullivan Investigations since
2004. She has worked on criminal and civil defense investigations tried in both
the state and federal courts. She has also performed work on domestic and child
custody cases, surveillance for insurance companies, and employment background
checks. In addition, Ms. Dixon is a former legal assistant having worked
closely with attorneys on all stages of divorce and child custody cases,
criminal defense cases and asset searches. She also has extensive experience in
the legal accounting field.
Ms. Dixon works from the Northern Virginia office of Sullivan Investigations
and is also a member of the Private Investigators Association of Virginia.
