Sullivan Investigations, established in 1999, is owned by Peter Sullivan, a registered private investigator through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice. A retired police sergeant, Mr. Sullivan served for more than 20 years with the Roanoke City Police Department in southwestern Virginia. His tenure with the department included four years as a vice/narcotics investigator and eight years in the criminal investigative unit working in the larceny, white-collar crime, and robbery/homicide divisions.
While with the police department, Mr. Sullivan was trained as an evidence technician in identifying, collecting, and preserving evidence. He also received training from the Federal Bureau of Investigations in fingerprint identification and classification, training from the Drug Enforcement Administration in narcotics investigations, and instruction from the United States Secret Service as a Question Document Examiner.
Mr. Sullivan has conducted numerous investigations involving capital murder cases on both the state and federal levels for criminal defense attorneys throughout Virginia. He has worked extensively on a wide range of criminal investigations, as well as conducting witness statements, domestic and child custody investigations, and insurance surveillance.
Mr. Sullivan is a member of the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI), the Private Investigators Association of Virginia (PIAVA), and holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Business Administration. He is a distinguished private investigator and proudly assists each of his clients with their needs.
